Moving a report into Excel or Google Sheets

Although the reports in Visit Tracker are only available as an html page, many of them can be easily copied/pasted into an Excel and/or Google Sheet. In so doing, you’ll be able to individualize your reports, sort the data according to your needs and even create some visual graphs. Here we’ll cover the step-by-step to get the data into a spreadsheet.

First, which reports work well for copying and pasting? Basically, most of them do. Most of the reports are already set up with column headers and and each row under the header contains the data. There are a few reports that are not conducive for this such as the Affiliate Performance Report and MIECHV Form 1.

So let’s get started.

(Note: Here are some screenshots covering the copy/paste details. A detailed video is available toward the bottom which includes the copy/paste procedure and clean up details.)

STEP 1: SELECT AND RUN THE REPORT

In this example, I chose the Exit Summary report.

STEP 4: CLEANING UP AND FORMATTING THE FILE

From here, it’s easier to view the video which also includes the screenshots above. Since there are little details in clean up and numerous possibilities, a video works better for the demonstration.
